They are also suitable for smokers of all experience levels and are a good choice especially for beginners. This pipe is suitable in form and function for both beginners and experienced pipe smokers. Beginners often make the mistake of buying a product that is not sufficiently well manufactured when they start pipe smoking. The pleasure is then correspondingly small. I found the manufacturer by chance four years later.  This is according to the manufacturer the exact same model from the same manufacturer, who made the original pipe for the Inglourious Basterds movie as seen in the depicted scene. Christoph Waltz smokes this pipe model incorporating his character SS-Standartenführer Hans Landa, for which got the Oscar. The manufacturer told me: [...] The filmmakers bought the pipe regularly. The middle part is white, the material turns in yellow after some time. The bit is tortoise-shell colour and made of precious resin from German origin. So, it's no Acryl, no sprayed colour. [...]This is meant to point out clearly that this pipe is no official merchandise and is connected in no way to the Movie Company or producers. This is no official merchandise, but an item identical in construction as seen in the movie. The original manufacturer makes this by hand in the exact same way as they made the film-pipe. it goes without saying that possible copyrights resp. associated trade mark rights are vested in the right holders and are hereby not affected. Handmade Calabash Pipe made by German-Austrian ManufacturerThe same model from the same Manufacturer as seen in the Tarantino Movie Inglourious BasterdsSince the movie was released in 2009 I was asked many times, if I could provide a pipe as seen in the movie. I found the manufacturer by chance four years later.  This is according to the manufacturer the exact same model from the same manufacturer, who made the original pipe for the Inglourious Basterds movie as seen in the depicted scene. Christoph Waltz smokes this pipe model incorporating his character SS-Standartenführer Hans Landa, for which got the Oscar. The manufacturer told me: [...] The filmmakers bought the pipe regularly. The middle part is white, the material turns in yellow after some time. The bit is tortoise-shell colour and made of precious resin from German origin. So, it's no Acryl, no sprayed colour. [...]This is meant to point out clearly that this pipe is no official merchandise and is connected in no way to the Movie Company or producers. This is no official merchandise, but an item identical in construction as seen in the movie. The original manufacturer makes this by hand in the exact same way as they made the film-pipe. it goes without saying that possible copyrights resp. associated trade mark rights are vested in the right holders and are hereby not affected. Among others these right holders are mentioned: Universal Pictures and Weinstein Co.. Thus, this links to the Official Website of the highly recommend Tarantino Movie. The Meerschauminsertion doesn't demand for special seasoning. Please don't use acute or sharp smoker tools with this pipe resp. use them carefully. Meerschaum is sensitive to stitches.As this is made by a small manufacturer, who only produces handmade products, each pipe is a unique item. Shape and Dimensions may vary. The first smokes may just show a light pleasant taste of corn, which may remind you of popcorn.Corn Cob Pipes expressly don’t need much attention.The basic question usually asked is how long-living and durable a Cornpipe could be. The Original Missouri Meerschaum Corncob Pipes are a traditional product, because these Corncob pipes are of a great sturdy quality. These pipes are nearly shock-resistant and quite indestructible.Burn-Outs as you could heard of can quite surely excluded for these genuine pipes, even if provoke intentionally. The stiffness of this corn pipe’s bowl will resist the burning tobacco.Saturation, as described for some corn pipes, doesn’t apply to these Original Missouri Meerschaum Co. Corncob Pipes: It’s true that these pipes will be saturated with condensate one day. Strong flavoured tobacco will over time block the pores of the material and impede the “breathing” of your pipe.Until then you will have smoke it so often that it will really have done its duty then.With reference to daily use such a pipe will last for many months resp. years.A main feature and advantage of Corncobs compared to usual briar pipes is the dry smoke that you will enjoy. As the material absorbs condensate truly well it cannot affect the smoking pleasure.Crossover is also a minor problem with Corncob Pipes.
